Come running like a prodigal

Prodigal – Sidewalk Prophets

Response to She Reads Truth Lent Study Day 16:

Luke 15:11-32

Romans 5:6-9

{ For rarely will someone die for just a person–though for a good person, perhaps someone might even dare to die. But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. }

When I spat in Your face, You laid down Your life for me.

When I cheated on You, You responded with mercy.

When I ran far away, You brought me back to Your open arms.

When I caused myself despair, You gave me undeserved blessings and charms.

When I screamed and yelled, You quieted my soul.

When I shook my fists and pounded my feet; of my fragile heart You took gentle hold.

Amazing, relentless love, Savior, how could it possibly be,

That a perfect, Holy Father still continues to love a wretch like me. SRT-Store-Lent2016-behold_8x10_1024x1024
