Fixing our eyes

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Many people go through life wondering what went wrong.

What GPA point didn’t add up to finish the success they’d worked for, for so long?

Why doesn’t the so-called love of their life fill their life with love?

And how come if they worked so hard, life is still so tough?

They know their hearts are empty, but they brush the gaping hole aside,

The deep hole in their aching heart that can only be filled by Christ.

Christ is the One that loves them to their very core;

He died a terrible death for them, so they’d be enslaved no more.

I hope you know you’re more than what they put on your degree;

I hope you know there’s more to life than what they promote on TV.

I pray for you that you may know that God is on your side,

Even when things are going wrong or when good things come then go like the tide.

I know you have been hurt in some which way or that,

And I know you’ll never heal that hurt by holding onto being mad.

There’s an incredible Savior knocking on the door to your heart,

And if you let Him in, I assure you: miracles will start.
