psalm 39:7

psalm 39:7

hope

You can’t put your hope into people; it’s not fair to you or them.

You can’t put your hope into people; it’s like climbing a cracked tree limb.

Someone can’t hold all your weight for long; soon they will fall to the ground.

Someone can’t be the peace you’re seeking for long before they let you down.

It’s not a reflection on them; they weren’t created to fill your cracks.

It’s not a reflection on who is around you; instead you should backtrack.

Step back to the One you’ve left behind, for He can hold all your weight.

Your burdens feel like nothing to Him; He can fulfill the desires He creates.

Your can’t put your hope into people; it’s not fair to you or to them.

The next time you’re searching for fullness of joy, turn around, put your hope into Him.
