remembering whose we are

A response to the first day of the She Reads Truth  Lent study

Good Father,

I praise You that You’re good and I ask that You remind us of that.

Nights are the hardest. When we are surrounded by darkness and quiet. Quiet feels so loud. Quiet can feel crushing when we start listening to ourselves.

I ask that You are louder than ourselves.

I ask that Your truth screams when we start to hear the enemy’s whispers.

Whispers that steal.

Whispers that lie.

Whispers that kill joy.

Help us wait for morning, help us cling to Hope.

The enemy has lies. The enemy has fear.

But we have more.

We have joy.

We have hope.

We have truth.

We have salvation.

And the only reason we have this is because we have Jesus.

Thank You for Jesus.

Thank You for Jesus.

Thank You for Jesus.

Thank You for saving us.

Help Jesus be louder than the lies.

We are saved.

We are loved.

We are Yours.

In Your Beautiful Name we pray,

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the One who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are Mine.” Isaiah 43:1
